U.S. News conducted a comprehensive evaluation of over 4,500 hospitals in 15 specialties, assessing their performance by taking into account various indicators like outcomes, nursing care, patient experience, and technology like computer-assisted orthopedic surgery. The results used data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, along with input from American Hospital Association, medical specialists, and professional organizations.
